Soraya Wave by LELO

For the past couple of weeks, I haven’t been able to bring myself to climax. It’s normal for libido to fluctuate and I have been a bit stressed, but this felt different. Something was missing. Like I lost my spark. How am I supposed to lead the people to sexual awakening when I can’t even make myself cum?! It was really getting me down but just as I was about to give up and become a nun, I got an email. LELO want me to review a rabbit vibrator. LELO, the Lamborghini of vibrators, wanted to send me, the bulldog of humans (stubborn, lethargic, sassy and gassy), their brand spanking new toy, the Soraya Wave.

I was familiar with the Soraya, a classic rabbit vibe in the LELO range, but what was the addition of this Wave thing? I turned to my other half, Google. Wave Motion technology (trademarked and patented, thank you very much) moves the shaft in a ‘come hither’ movement for g spot stimulation. Innnnterrestttingggg.

The Confession: Gettin’ that g-spot

I cannot remember the last time I came from solo g-spot stimulation. I am a busy lady, 96% of the time I am masturbating for the release, so even though I know exactly where my g-spot is and I know she loves to make a scene (a joke about squirting.. ), I just actually cannot be bothered to put in the extra effort when I have a much quicker and easier way of cumming.

My parcel arrived and I was immediately impressed. ‘If the toy is disappointing, I can write a whole article on the box’ I thought, genuinely on the brink of arousal over how beautifully packaged my new vibrator was. The toy is in no way a let-down but there was one thing in all that was an inconvenience. There was no guide to the modes.

The Modes

Usually a toy will have a guide to the vibration patterns, graphics you can follow as you click through the settings. I couldn’t find this anywhere for the Soraya Wave. So, you know your girl sat down for a good hour deciphering the patterns and speeds, then making her own “mode guide”. Modes aren’t usually something that interest me, but I can genuinely say for the first time, I wanted to try these out. The Soraya Wave also features mode memory, when you turn it on it will be on the setting you left it on last, no more clicking through to find your fave.

You’re welcome

The Reawakening

To be completely honest, I don’t go to too much extra effort when testing a toy opposed to just masturbating, the only difference really, is pen and paper. You don’t know sexy until you’ve had to write notes while masturbating. This time however, I realised that I had prepped myself as if I was trying to rekindle the flame of a sex-less marriage. I put on a fancy bed shirt, fancy meaning it has no holes in it, I moisturised my feet for some reason, and I set mood lighting. When does selfcare become a cry for help? Asking for a friend.

Feeling fancy, I lubed up and inserted the toy, the inlay designs on the shaft seemed to add sensation, like a subtle ribbing effect. It was nice. Then I turned the toy on. With mode memory, the toy came on at the second setting, where clitoral stimulator is vibrating, and the shaft is in solo wave motion. Immediately I could feel the production of “lubrication”. I clicked through the modes until I got to the alternating purr mode and sunk into my bed. The only way I can think to describe it is like a deep, indulgent teasing.

It was here I had the my first orgasm for the evening. I then clicked through to the first setting, where both clit stim and shaft are on a continual vibration with the wave motion, the triple threat. I felt my face contort and that was it, I was out of my body. Sometime later I came to, sprawled across my bed and in absolute euphoric, exhaustive bliss, I managed to make one last note before I fell asleep. Two words. “multiples” “cum”.

I woke up the next day with the toy, pen and paper still in my bed. Thinking it might have been a fluke I decided I needed to test it again. You know, in the name of science and all that. Again, I experienced multiple orgasms and ejaculation.

The Review: Desperately Seeking Soraya [Wave]

I have used other toys that are “shaped for g-spot stimulation” but they have never made an impression. Similarly, rabbit vibrators fall flat for me, having to manoeuvre the toy to get any real internal enjoyment disturbs any momentum built up on my clit. But for me, the Soraya Wave has completely changed the game.

The price tag is the only thing that makes me hesitate with a recommendation. If you are looking to make an investment in your sex toy, LELO is a great option. Before buying any toy, do your research, check out your local adult store, see if they have a tester you can actually hold and think critically about what type of stimulation you need or want.

I genuinely love the Soraya Wave because it works for my body. I experienced multiple orgasms and ejaculation from the combined clitoral and g spot stimulation and basked in the type of afterglow I have only ever encountered with a lover.
